The Bay State Automobile Co.
The Bay State Automobile Co. was an American Automobile company formed by Rossell Drisko and Frederick E. Randall in 1906. At a later date the following officers were listed for The Bay State Automobile Co. – Julius Bolz, Presidnt; F. R. Bolz, Treasurer; Rossel Drisko, General Manager and George E. Temple, chief engineer and designer.
In 1906 the company was located at 1008 Boylston street and later a large factory 112 Norway street. The Bay State was sold out of their factory plus they handled the American Automobile, Queen. The Bay State was equipped with a 40 horsepower four cylinder engine, three speed transmission and shaft drive. Their larger Touring Car was known as the “Bay State Forty” as shown below in a 1906 Boston City Directory ad.
