Bailey-Klapp
The Elwood Iron Works
Elwood, Indiana
1915
The Bailey-Klapp was one of two American Automobiles whose forthcoming manufacture was announced in February 1915 by the Elwood Iron Works of Elwood, IN. The other was the Elco.
The unfortunate bankruptcy of the Elwood Iron Works a few months later called a halt to the Bailey-Klapp at the prototype stage. Rights to the other automobile The Elwood Iron Works was planning to produce was sold to The Bimel Automobile Co. in Sidney, Ohio.

1915 Bailey-Klapp Touring Car
The Elwood Iron Works was very ambitious and planned to employ a V-8 engine similar to the Cadillac in the Bailey-Klapp. Plans included a five passenger Touring Car. The price of the car and the complete details of the specifications were never made public.
